Summer heat is in full effect and lawns are now showing signs of stress and browning out. Be aware, this could be more than just drought. Tiny surface insects called Chinch Bugs are very common during the summer months. Chinch Bugs can cause significant damage to the turf and can easily be mistaken for drought and heat stress if they are left untreated. Inspecting your lawn closely will reveal if it’s just regular drought stress or damage caused by chinch bugs

Effective Mosquito Control Products
The 2 most common methods for controlling mosquitoes are with either larvicides or adulticides.
Larvicides are generally used for incidences where reducing or eliminating standing water breeding sites is not practical or feasible. Larvicides are applying as a liquid or a granular to the standing pools of water and target the control of the mosquito larvae before they develop and reach the adult life cycle. Bti (bacillus thuringiensis israeliensis) and methoprene are common products used for larviciding.
The Toro® T5 RapidSet rotor is designed to save! Water! Time! And Money! And it can be installed in seconds.
Excessive Mower Clippings
Keeping up with a regular lawn mowing schedule can be difficult even when the grass is growing slowly. Add the combination of favorable weather and ideal growing conditions it can make things even more challenging to stay on top of when the turf is growing quickly.
The life cycle of the white grub consists of 4 stages, Egg, Larvae, Pupa, and Adult. During this 4 stage process, the white grub transforms itself in shape, size, colour and feeding habits. It also changes where it lives during its life cycle.
White grub species all complete their life cycle in 1 year, with the exception of the June Beetle, which has a 3 year life cycle.
